Washdown Scales are currently being supplied to a meatworks in Central Queensland to eliminate potential water damage caused to scales on the boning lines. Supplied by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane, five sets of IP69K rated Washdown Scales are being prepared for transportation to Rockhampton.
Accuweigh’s XK Washdown Scales are totally waterproof and designed to cope with direct hosing of high pressure water at temperatures up to 80ºC. The housing of the X320 harsh environment indicator uses a food grade, impact resistant composite alloy housing incorporating a double ‘o’ ring seal to provide superior sealing performance over traditional stainless steel enclosures.
The capacitive keyboard of this Washdown Scale allows the entire front panel to be constructed as a single solid piece to eliminate seams and joins that could break down or leak. The capacitance effect of the keypad senses an operator’s finger without requiring any actual pressure on the key – even when wearing gloves.
Another important benefit of the XK’s capacitive keyboard is it’s immunity to damage by accidental knife cuts. Unlike conventional keyboards using a vinyl membrane, the solid capacitive panel of the XK Washdown Scales can’t be easily damaged.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches across mainland states providing superior product support on all scales and weighing equipment, including Washdown Scales.
